Privacy policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
Haseek is an app by Hasik Labs (“we”). This policy explains what personal data Haseek handles, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what the app needs to work. We don't show third-party ads, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data. Shops on Haseek can promote their own reels, or their whole shop in Discover, to people nearby; a promoted reel is always marked “Promoted”, and so is every card of a promoted shop.
Who is responsible
Hasik Labs is the controller of your personal data. Contact us about privacy at hasiktechnologies@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and a login ID | To create your account and sign you in, and to send sign-in codes | Until you delete your account |
| The name you enter | Shown to shops when you message them or reserve | Until you change it or delete your account |
| Your location | Sent with each request to find shops and reels near you. We use it to answer the request and don't store it. | Not stored |
| Messages, including any delivery details you send a shop in chat | Delivered to the shop or customer you're talking to, and kept so both of you can read the conversation | Until you delete your account (the other person keeps their copy) |
| Reservations: what you reserved, how you'll get it (pickup, takeaway, in the shop, delivery), the time you chose, its status history (including automatic expiry or “not picked up”) and the shop's code | So the shop can prepare your reservation and you can follow its status | Open ones until they're closed; closed ones 12 months after closing, or sooner if you delete your account |
| Shop details, reels, photos and products (if you run a shop), and whether and when you confirmed that you sell as a business | Shown publicly in Haseek to people nearby; the confirmation lets customers see that you're a business seller, as consumer law requires | Until you delete them or your account |
| Reports (what was reported, the reason, and which account sent it) and blocks | To keep Haseek safe, hide what you blocked, and hide content that several people (or one child-safety report) flagged until a moderator reviews it. Shops never see who reported them. | As long as needed to handle the report |
| Shops you follow, reels and products you save, favourite categories and notification settings | To show you more of what you like and keep it in sync on your devices | Until you change them or delete your account |
| Push notification token | To send the notifications you switched on (messages, reservations, new posts) | Until you sign out or delete your account |
| Shop statistics | Shops see how many times their reels were viewed, their page visited, their shop looked through in Discover and their products shown there. Shops only see totals, never who viewed. | 13 months |
| Product photos for “Fill in from photo” (Max plan) | The photo a shop picks is sent to Claude (by Anthropic) on Amazon Bedrock in the EU to suggest a product description. It isn't stored by the model provider or used to train models. | Not kept beyond the request |
| Shop plan subscriptions | Handled by Stripe. We receive the subscription status, never card details. | As long as required by tax law |
| Technical logs (IP address, request times, errors) | To run, secure and debug the service | 30 days |
| Your interests, learned from what you do in Haseek (which shops, kinds of shops and products you watch, look through, open, save, follow, message, reserve from, skip or swipe past quickly, or mark “Not interested”). Before you sign in, tied to a random ID of this app install; after you sign in, to your account. | To show you more of what you like first and less of what you don't. A short list of scores that fade over weeks; no profile is shared with shops or anyone else, and nothing is used to choose ads for you (we only leave out promoted shops you've hidden or blocked). Just seeing, looking through or swiping past a promoted reel or shop isn't learned. | Until it fades, you reset it or turn it off (Profile › Privacy), or delete your account; for an install that never signs in, 90 days after last use |
| Usage events (which reels, photo posts, products and shops were shown, watched, looked through, skipped, opened or saved), only while Personalized feed is on, under a pseudonym that can't be traced back to you once your learned interests are reset, turned off or your account is deleted. Events from promoted places aren't kept here; they only count promoted views and the shop's totals. | To measure what works and improve how Haseek picks and orders reels (for example "trending near you") | 180 days |
| Promoted views (your account ID, or your IP address if you're not signed in, with the date) | To count each promoted reel, including the reel that opens a promoted shop, at most once per person per day, so shops pay only for real views | 2 days |
If you arrange a delivery with a shop in chat, the address and details you send are messages: the shop sees them and is responsible for how it uses them. Only share what the delivery needs.
When you're signed in, the reels and products you save are kept with your account so they appear on all your devices. The video cache stays on your phone.
Before text is posted or sent (shop details, products, captions, messages, your name, reservation notes), our server checks it automatically against a list of blocked words, such as slurs, sexual terms and terms linked to child abuse or trafficking. If it matches, it isn't saved and you're asked to change it; we don't keep or log the text. We share data with the police or other authorities only when the law requires it, or to report serious crimes such as child sexual abuse material.
Legal bases (EEA and UK)
We process your data to provide the service you signed up for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for security, abuse prevention and moderation, on the basis of our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Learning your interests to order your feed is also based on our legitimate interest in showing you relevant shops; you can object at any time by turning it off in Profile › Privacy (we then delete what was learned), or reset it. Location is used only after you allow it on your phone, and you can switch it off at any time in your phone's settings.
Who processes your data for us
- Amazon Web Services hosts Haseek in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany), including the database, file storage, sign-in (Amazon Cognito) and email delivery (Amazon SES). Videos and photos are delivered through Amazon CloudFront, which caches public media at locations worldwide.
- Amazon Web Services also runs Claude by Anthropic on Amazon Bedrock in the EU for “Fill in from photo”.
- Stripe processes payments for shop plans on hasiklabs.com.
- Apple distributes the iPhone app, delivers its push notifications and shows its map.
- Google distributes the Android app (Google Play) and delivers its push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging: it receives the notification text and your device's push token).
- OpenFreeMap serves the map on Android: it receives your device's internet address and the map area you look at, not your account.
- Directions open in the maps app you choose (Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze or Mapy.cz); we only pass it the shop's location.
Where data leaves the EEA (for example, cached public media), it is protected by the safeguards in AWS's data processing terms, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You can delete your account yourself in the app under Profile › Delete account. To use any other right, email us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Haseek isn't meant for children. You must be at least 16 to create an account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
